VMware Cloud Platform
As VMware accelerated its cloud strategy, it needed a unified, enterprise-grade experience for its Virtual Data Centers and cloud services. HueyDesigns was brought in to create a cohesive onboarding and management flow that would help customers adopt the platform faster—without losing power or flexibility.
Approach
HueyDesigns drove design leadership across the end-to-end journey, auditing fragmented service experiences and aligning teams around a single UX north star. We mapped key user journeys, designed streamlined information architecture, and produced wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes to validate a consistent interaction model for building, running, managing, and connecting cloud applications. Design guidelines were established to maintain visual and functional consistency across services.
Results
VMware Cloud launched at VMworld, giving customers a simpler, more unified way to run VMware applications in the cloud without new hardware or app rewrites. The improved onboarding and cohesive UX helped strengthen adoption and positioned VMware more credibly as a cloud platform leader.
